Fabricated hadith is not actually considered as hadith, but it is considered as hadith only according to those who fabricated it.)
SECOND CHAPTER (First Part)AUTHENTIC HADITH
Authentic hadith: "A hadith that is narrated by just and competent people with supporting chains of narration from just and competent people like themselves, without any deviation or mu'allal, until its chain of narration reaches the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) or one of the companions or one of the later ones."
(Shaz hadith: It is a hadith narrated by an acceptable narrator who contradicts a narrator who is more acceptable than himself).
(Muallel hadith: Even if it seems flawless in terms of its external appearance, it is understood that it has a defect that damages its authenticity).
(Isnad and sanad: It is the transmission of a text to its source by subsequent generations).
(Text: It is the second part of a hadith and it is the part that starts where the chain of narration ends. This part generally consists of statements that convey a subject related to the Prophet (pbuh). When considered in terms of the description of the hadith, the text consists of statements that describe either the words or actions of the Prophet (pbuh), or a deed, event, state or characteristic of Him (pbuh).
(Adl: It is not known that the narrator committed major sins and does not insist on committing minor sins. People who have these characteristics are called adl or adil in the terminology of hadith, and its plural is udul).
(Ravi: Generally, it is the person who narrates the hadiths of the Prophet (pbuh).)
(Zabt: The narrator's ability to memorize and keep in mind a hadith he has heard in such a way that he can recall it whenever he wishes, even after a long time has passed. According to Ibn Hajar, this is called zabtu's-sadr (chest record). There is also zabtu'l-kitab (book record), which is the narrator's protection of his book or notes containing his hadiths from any kind of distortion until he narrates them to others).
(Muttasil chain of narration: Chain of narration based on the first narrator because each of its narrators heard it from the previous narrator).
Just as authentic hadith is called musnad and muttasil, it is also called mutawatir and ahad; it is also possible to call it garib and famous.
Mutawatir Hadith:
"It is an authentic hadith narrated by a group of people who find it impossible for reason and custom to unite on a lie, from a group like themselves, from the beginning of the chain to the end."
Some people have tried to limit the number of this group as at least four, five, ten, twelve, twenty, forty, seventy, three hundred and thirteen males and two females, and they have cited some verses from the Quran as evidence for this.
All these deductions -even if they are derived from the Holy Quran- are not clear and unambiguous, because all these verses are related to a specific event mentioned there. Ibn Hajar says: "Indeed, there is no benefit in determining the number of times."
Mutawatir hadith is divided into two parts: literal and spiritual:
1- Literary mutawatir: It is a hadith whose text is narrated by the said community with the same wording and in the same manner from the beginning to the end of the chain of narration.
Most scholars consider it impossible to find a literal mutawatir hadith anywhere else in the Quran that complies with this condition, provided that there is literal agreement in all respects. Some scholars also confirm that there are many literal mutawatir hadiths in the Prophetic hadith itself, and they put forward as evidence the hadiths of the splitting of the moon, intercession, the groaning of the log, wiping over the socks, isra and mi'raj, the water gushing out from the fingers of the Messenger of Allah (pbuh), his giving the small amount of food to many soldiers, and similar hadiths.
2- It is needless to say that there is no verbal agreement (conformity) required in the narration of a spiritual mutawatir hadith. Even if the narrators differ, it is sufficient for a community that cannot agree on a lie by reason and custom to fulfill the meaning of the hadith.
The spiritual mutawatir are so many that no one can deny it. An example of this is the hadith about "raising the hands in prayer."
According to Muhaddis: “Tawatur does not fall within the scope of the science of isnad. The narrators of mutawatir hadiths cannot be investigated, and it is even necessary to act upon them without conducting such a research.”
(Tawatur: It is the name given to the unification of a large number of people who cannot logically tell lies, in reporting a news one after another).
All scholars of hadith agree that both the verbal and the spiritual mutawatir hadith express definite and certain (free from doubt) knowledge. Their disagreement is about whether the authentic hadith, which is the news of the one and only hadith, expresses conjecture or certainty.”
