Peace be upon you, my brother, and peace be upon you, my Seher…
I am giving you the information regarding the answer to your question in the first volume of the two-volume Catechism written by Yusuf Kerimoğlu Hocaefendi, one of the Jurist of our century…

“WEARING AND DONNING THE SIGNS OF UNBELIEF: Wearing the cross, wearing the zunnar, wearing the Zoroastrian hat (Kalensuvetu'l-Majus) and putting a robe on the shoulder with the intention of showing respect to the unbelievers and confirming their unbelief are actions that lead a person to unbelief. (209) However, the point to be noted is the prohibition of resembling the “trademark of unbelief” in clothing and apparel. For example: Wearing the cross is a distinctive sign of Christians. A person who “wears the cross” with the intention of showing respect to the unbelievers and confirming their unbelief becomes an unbeliever. Because the sign of the cross is the symbol of the belief that Hz. Isa (pbuh) was crucified. However, it is established by the Nass that Hz. Isa (pbuh) was not crucified. A person who wears the sign of the cross around his neck, is in a position to deny the text.”

Let us also pay attention to the following here: if a person wears the cross voluntarily, without any pressure, violence, imposition or threat, he will definitely become a disbeliever and a KAFAR… Praying and reading the Quran will not benefit him… Be entrusted to Allah Almighty…
