AKAID-1

“AKAD: It is, in a sense, synonymous with the science of monotheism. However, it emerged by elaborating its subjects more extensively and adding other subjects of belief.
AKAID is the plural form of Aqidah. It means beliefs, things to be believed, principles… Itikad also has the same root. It means the basic principles of a system, the inevitable principles that everyone must adopt.
The meaning of Sharia and Science, that is, we can define it as follows: "It is the science that explains the principles of faith of the religion of Islam with its evidence." In other words, this name is given to the science that deals with the provisions of faith. Just like the science that explains the practical provisions. "CANON LAW" as it is said. (Ali NAR, Akaid Risaleleri, p:25)
“AKAID (Aqidah. c) Creeds. Truths that are believed in. Articles and rules and principles regarding belief. Aqaid-i Diniye: Religious Creeds. Fundamentals of belief. (New Dictionary, Aqaid art. Sh:15) ” It is mentioned in reliable hadith collections that the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) informed the Companions that “FITNA” would appear after him. The interpretation of definite texts according to desires and whims is closely related to “political ambitions” and emerged after the death of the Messenger of Allah (pbuh). The “false prophets” that emerged during the caliphate of Hz. Abu Bakr (ra) were the first of these fitnas.
Political sects that interpret the “Mutashabih” and “Mujmal” verses in the book of Allah Almighty (cc) with abstract reason without having any knowledge have put forward different theological views. Especially the tragic martyrdom of Hz. Osman (RA); accelerated the exploitation of these sects. It is a fact that the theological sects increased rapidly after the martyrdom of Hz. Hussein (RA) in “Karbala”. Imam-i Ash'ari “Article” In his work titled; the first conflict seen within the Ummah, “IMAMAT” He states that it stems from the issue.
In many reliable sources, “The Ummah is divided into seventy-three sects” The Hadith about the division of Islam is closely related to the formation of the sects of faith. The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "The Sons of Israel split into seventy-two sects. My Ummah will split into seventy-three sects. Except for one of them, all of them will go to Hell." When the Noble Companions asked, "Which is that exceptional sect, O Messenger of Allah?", our Prophet (SAW) gave the good news: "The Jama'at on my and my companions' path." (Sunan Ibn Majah-Ist: 1401, Çağrı Yay. V/2, page: 1322, Had. No: 3993. Also Sunan Tirmidhi, Sunan Abu Dawud and Sunan Darimi.) In another Hadith, the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: “Stick to my Sunnah and that of my Rightly Guided Caliphs” It is known that he gave the order. (Mullah Husrev- Durer al-Hukkam- Ist:1307, Vol. 1, p:119. Also Sunan Ibn Majah (1, 16, 42), Al-Musnad (4, 126-127), Sunan Darimi, Introduction: 16)

Abdulkahir al-Baghdadi mentions the following regarding the Hadith Sharif informing that “the Ummah will be divided into sects”: “The Hadith regarding the division of the Ummah into sects has many chains of narration. This Hadith has been narrated by the Prophet, may Allah’s blessings and peace be upon him, from many of the Companions such as Anas b. Malik, Abu Hurayrah, Abu’d-Darda, Jabir, Abu Saeed al-Khudri, Ubayy b. Kaab, Abdullah b. Amr al-As, Abu Umamah, Wasila b. Al-Aska and others. It has been narrated that the first four Caliphs (the Rashidun) said that after them the Ummah would be divided into sects, only one of them would be saved and the others would go astray in this world and be destroyed in the hereafter.” (Abdulkahir El Bağdadi-El Fark beyne'l Fırak, p:9. Ist. Kalem Publications.)
To those who follow the path of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) and the Rightly Guided Caliphs "Ahl al-Sunnah wa'l-Jama'ah" It is given the name. Its common usage in Türkiye is “Ahl-i Sunnah ve'l Cemaat” or “Ahl-i Sunnah”. Throughout history, the overwhelming majority of Muslims have been “Ahl-i Sunnah”. (Yusuf KERİMOĞLU, Emanet ve Ehliyet, Vol. 1, p:53-54. Ölçü Yay. İst.1985.)
“AKAID” The word was not a word used at the time of the Messenger of Allah (pbuh). This is a new word used to describe the heart's attachment to belief and its determination in this belief. Based on this term, we can say that at the time of the Messenger of Allah (pbuh), it was only a subject of Islamic Beliefs On the other hand, there is a concept of Aqaid that was taken up and shaped in works written in later ages. Aqaid was a principle that connected Islam and practice in its natural form during the time of the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) and included two principles.
     First Principle; The message,

Second Principle; were the teachings of the true revelation on matters of the Unseen. These two principles sometimes intertwined and complemented each other. The Shahada summarized all these issues and AKADThe symbol of 'was the Martyrdom as we know it.
It later found its form in the copyrighted works. AKAD In addition to addressing these issues, he also addressed many other issues. The struggle between Muslims and members of other religions is also included in this scope. The followers of the right path, which are the People of Truth, and the People of Falsehood, and “Ahl al-Sunnah wa'l-Jama'ah” The conflict between the people who are not included in the Aqaid subjects in the copyrighted works is also the definition of Islam and faith, the subjects that these two constitute, theological subjects, the Prophethood, the Sam'iyyat and the issues related to them. Moreover, the facts about the unseen, which man can only understand through Revelation, constituted an important part of the science of Aqaid, and this new science dealt with Islam and its religious obligations in general terms and in a holistic manner.
In terms of ISLAM, faith and sharia, we see that people fall into one of the following groups.

1-Muslims who are faithful and practice their beliefs,

2- Muslims who are believers but do not live their faith fully, sinful and flawed.

3-(Another third group is those who think they are Muslims but are non-Islamic.)

people who live according to their thoughts and beliefs.)

The first group consists of the pious, the second group consists of the rebellious and sinful.

(The third group is the group of polytheists who are involved in polytheism.)

4-The fourth group is those who appear to be Muslims but are actually non-believers.

   These are called Hypocrites.

5-In addition to these, there is also a group of unbelievers.

On the other hand, we also come across Muslims who are wrong in their religious understanding or practice. They are people of Bid'ah. Sometimes Bid'ahs can lead to disbelief, and sometimes they remain as Bid'ah. The first of these is an Apostate, and the second is someone who has strayed from the right path. This Muslim may openly abandon the religion and become an Apostate, or he may have committed apostasy through his words and actions. For all these reasons, issues that will cause him to leave Islam have been added to his problems.
The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) has informed us about some of the events that will happen from the death of the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) until the Day of Judgment. Believing in these is a part of believing in his prophethood. Some of these events have occurred, while some have not yet occurred. Some of them will occur shortly before the Day of Judgment, and some will occur some time after the Day of Judgment. All these issues are also considered among the subjects of the science of Aqaid.
Throughout history, schools have emerged within the Islamic Ummah that acted contrary to nature in interpreting the Quran and the Sunnah. These schools have put forward some views that are shaz (an individual view that is not accepted by Islamic scholars) or that necessitate blasphemy, and have adopted wrong attitudes. It is also necessary to talk about the views and attitudes of such schools. AKAD It has become a part of the science of belief. In the science of belief, there are also some erroneous understandings that can cause some harm if one remains silent and does not make an effort to correct some issues…
In Aqaid, opinions are based on the texts.... Just as the basis of everything in Islam is a correct belief, the basis of a correct belief is a strong belief in Allah and His Messenger (pbuh). Despite the diversity of subjects in the books of AKAID, the previous authors excluded from their research the issues they considered to be related to other sciences, such as the subject of “SUPERVISION”. For example, they found the subject of “SUPERVISION BEING ONLY TO ALLAH” to be related to the science of the usul al-fiqh… Islamist writers have determined the gap in this subject today and have tried to fill this gap with works called works of Islamic thought. In order to enter Islam, one must accept and confess the Kalima Shahada, perform the deeds required by Islam and WITH THE CONGREGATION need to integrate. The opposite of these is, SWEAR, Hypocrisy and Ignorance. That is why, in the era of the Messenger of Allah (pbuh), these and similar issues were given importance.” (Said HAVVA, El-Esas Fis'Sunne, İslam Akaidi, Vol. 7, p:13-16)
“AKAD : Rules and maxims that concisely explain the basic rules and principles of religion. The word Akaid means belief. “CREDIT” It is the plural form of the word. It means something that is definitely believed, a form of faith and understanding. Aqaid is the whole of the Islamic rules and regulations that are based on faith, not worship; that is, faith, not action. In short, AKAID is the principles that systematically mention the principles of faith in the Islamic Religion in the light of the Quran and the Sunnah. The body of faith of Islam "CREDO" This is the belief in the existence and unity of Allah, the Angels, the Books, the Prophets, the Last Day, Fate, and that Good and Evil come from Allah. These are the tenets of Islamic belief and “TAWHID” are the basic principles that form the basis of faith.
In the first period of Islam, the Age of Bliss, while the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) was alive, like all other Islamic sciences, AKAD science had not been written down and had not yet been compiled… Because the Revelation continued; Muslims were immediately taking all the problems they encountered to the Prophet and solving them in the light of the Revelation… After the Prophet’s passing to the hereafter and therefore the cessation of the revelation, most of the companions preserved their pure and clear understanding of Islam in the “Age of Bliss”. Despite this, in the face of developments within society, they were inevitably starting new discussions about some problems. Some disagreements arose especially regarding the Election of the Caliphs, “THE REFEREES INCIDENT”after n “Shia”and those who defend completely opposite views “EXTERNALISTS” The emergence of has brought different understandings to the agenda of Muslims…….
Among the most famous works written about Islamic AKAIDI is the one by Imam-i Azam (rh.a.) “Fiqh-i Akbar” ini; Imam-i Maturidi “Kitabu’t- Tawhid”ini; Omer Nasefi's “Metnu'l-Akaid”the ini, Nureddin es- Sabuni “al-Bidayasi”We can mention Taftazani's “Sharh al-Aqaid” The works of Şehristani, Abdulkahir el-Baghdadi, Imam-ı Gazali, Kadı Adudiddin Abdurrahman b. Ici, Seyyid Şerif Curcani are also widely read and noteworthy works.” (Şamil İslam Ansiklopedisi, Vol. 1, p. 128-130)
It is necessary to know very well that no matter how many deeds a person whose faith is not valid and authentic does, the deeds he does will not benefit him even a little bit. Those whose faith is valid but whose deeds are weak will be released from Hell after suffering the amount of torment due to their sins or after being forgiven by Allah Almighty or by the intercession of our Prophet (pbuh). However, those whose faith is not valid but whose deeds are many will remain in Hell forever. They will neither attain intercession nor deserve forgiveness. Nizameddin DEMİR
