Quran: It is the name of the book that was revealed in Arabic by Allah (swt) to his messenger, our great Prophet Muhammad Mustafa (pbuh) and transmitted to us through tawatur. In another definition, it is the miraculous speech that was revealed by Allah (swt) to our Prophet Muhammad Mustafa (pbuh), written in the Quranic Quran, transmitted through tawatur, and recited. In the dictionary, Quran was an infinitive meaning to read in a measure of ghafran.

One of the rulings and distinguishing features of this revealed book is that it is read slowly, slowly and with rhythm and recitation, as understood from the verses {*} "We have divided the Qur'an into parts so that you may recite it to the people with ease." (Isra, 17/106), {*} "So that you may recite to them what We have revealed to you..." (Ra'd, 13/30), {*} "Read the Qur'an slowly, gradually." (Muzzammil, 73/4), and therefore it is called the Qur'an. In Surah Al-Baqarah: {*} "Say: Whoever is an enemy of Gabriel - then he is the one who revealed the Qur'an to your heart by Allah's permission, confirming the previous scriptures and a good tiding and a guidance for the believers." » (Al-Baqarah, 2/97), In the Surah An-Nahl: {*} « O Prophet! Say: The Qur'an has been sent down by the Spirit of Quds (Gabriel) in truth from your Lord. » (An-Nahl, 16/102), In the Surah As-Su'ara: {*} « This Qur'an has been sent down to your heart by the Spirit of the Trustworthy (Gabriel) » (Su'ara, 26/193), as it is stated, the Qur'an was sent down in truth by Allah Almighty to the heart of the Prophet through Gabriel, who is called the Spirit of the Trustworthy and the Spirit of Quds. {*} « We have sent down the Qur'an in truth, encompassing all realities. » (Isra, 17/105), {*} {*} « And We have sent down an Arabic Qur'an, in which there is no crookedness or omission. » (Az-Zumar, 39/28)

That which was not revealed as the Quran was not called the Quran, because it was not revealed as the Quran. But the unbelievers did not want to believe that the Quran was sent down by Allah, so they called it a book or a poem or the word of a soothsayer, which Muhammad (pbuh) himself spoke and which he invented and attributed to Allah, and they still say so. That is why many verses were revealed in the Quran that refute these. Some of them are as follows: {*} « Who is more unjust than one who invents a lie against Allah or says, ‘It was revealed to me,’ when nothing was revealed to him? » (Al-An’am, 6/93), {*} « Or do they say, ‘Muhammad invented it? O Muhammad! Say to them, ‘If I invented it, you will not be able to defend me against the punishment from Allah. » (Ahkaf, 46/8), {*} « If Muhammad had invented some of his own words and claimed that we said them, We would have seized him with force and cut off his lifeline. And none of you could prevent it.” (Hakka, 69/44-47), {*} “We did not teach Muhammad poetry, nor did it befit him.” (Yasin, 36/69). For this reason, another name for the Quran is “Tanzîl” (sent down). {*} “It has been sent down by Allah, the Lord of the worlds.” (Wâkia, 56/80).

al-Kitab: One of the names of the Quran is {*} “al-Kitab”. For the definition of the book: {*} “Alif Lâm Mîm. This is a book about which there is no doubt.” (Baqara, 2/1-2) See the interpretation of the verse.

Al-Furqan: Actually, al-Furqan is a noun meaning to separate. Since the Qur'an separates the right from the wrong, the lawful from the forbidden, another name for it is al-Furqan. {*} "He sent down the Qur'an, which separates the right from the wrong." (Aal-i Imran, ¾).

Al-Huda: Actually, it means to guide (to show the right path). It also means to receive guidance, and then it is used to refer to the guide who guides and the right path that is guided.

In the Quran, it is stated that {*} "It is a book that shows the way to those who fear Allah" (Al-Baqarah, 2/2), {*} "A guide to mankind" (Al-Baqarah, 2/185), {*} "A guide and good tidings for the believers" (Al-Baqarah, 2/97) and therefore it is called {*} "al-Huda". Just as one of its names is {*} "Nur" in terms of its illumination of hearts and minds. {*} "And those who follow the light that has been sent down to it - they are the successful ones." (A'raf, 7/157).

Another name for the Qur'an is {*} "Dhikr": {*} "We have sent down the Qur'an, and surely we are its guardians." (Hijr, 15/9), {*}

"It is the Qur'an full of judgment and wisdom." (Aal-i Imran, 3/58) The meaning of the word judgment has also been mentioned.

Mushaf: As it is known, it is the name of the bordered volume that contains the pages of the Quran, the covers on both sides of which are called {*} "deffeteyn". Although the plural of page is {*} "pages" for the books of the past (belonging to the prophets), the name Mushaf belongs to the Quran. It is permissible to read the word Mushaf in three ways, with the mim'i ötre, üstün and esre.

Ötre and “Mushaf” mean pages that are collected and bound together, üstün and “Meshaf” mean the place where the pages are collected, esre and “Mishaf” mean the tool that collects the pages together.

When the Quran was revealed, it was written in the form it was revealed and on separate clean pages, and it was indicated to which surah and which part of the surah it belonged. These pages were not all bound together, and it was possible to consider abrogation (of the verses). However, {*} “The clean pages (of the reader)” (Beyyine, 98/2) {*} “They are on clean pages” (Abese, 80/13) were protected with complete respect. Those who copied (wrote) also wrote and memorized in the same way. First, during the caliphate of Abu Bakr Siddiq (ra), all these pages were written together and listed together, and it was called “Mushaf”, which is called the issue of collecting the Quran. (See the verse at the end of Surah At-Tawbah {*} “O people! Certainly there has come to you a messenger from among yourselves.” (At-Tawbah, 9/128).) After that, the Companions compiled their pages into a mushaf. Since some disagreements arose in the surrounding provinces during the caliphate of Hz. Osman, Hz. Osman again applied and examined the mushaf that was first collected during the time of Hz. Abu Bakr with the presence of the Companions, who were the recitation imams, and had eight more copies written and sent seven copies to the central provinces such as Medina, Mecca, Yemen, Bahrain, Damascus (Syria), Kufa and Basra, and kept one for himself, and all the mushafs were written in accordance with these after that. For this, Hz. The mushaf that Osman kept with him was named "Imam".
