Prophet Noah and the Flood in the Quran-2

Noah's Flood is described in many verses of the Quran. Below, the verses are compiled in the order of development of the event.

Prophet Noah's Invitation to His Nation
And We sent Noah to his people, saying: 'O my people, worship Allah, you have no god but Him. Indeed, I fear for you the punishment of a great day.'[38]
(Noah said:) 'I am a faithful messenger sent to you. So fear Allah and obey me. I do not ask of you any reward for this; my reward is only from the Lord of the worlds. So fear Allah and obey me.'[39]

And We sent Noah to his people, so that he said to them: O my people, worship Allah. You have no other god besides Him. Will you not fear Him?[40]

Prophet Noah's Warning to His Nation Against Allah's Punishment

We sent Noah to his people to warn them before the punishment comes to them. (Surah Noah, 1)

(Noah:) 'Now you will know on whom the humiliating punishment will come and on whom the lasting torment will fall.' (Surah Hud: 39)

(Noah) said, "Do not worship anyone other than Allah. I fear for you the punishment of a painful day." (Surah Hud, 26)

The Nation's Denial of Prophet Noah
The leaders of his people said, "Indeed, we see you in clear confusion." (Surat al-A'raf, 60)

They said: 'O Noah, you have been arguing with us and have gone too far in this dispute. Bring us what you have promised us, if you are telling the truth.' (Surah Hud, 32)

He was building the ark. Whenever the leaders of his people passed by him, they mocked him. He said, "If you mock us, we will mock you just as you mocked us." (Surah Hud, 38)

Thereupon, the leaders of his people who disbelieved said, "This is nothing but a mortal like you. He seeks to prevail over you. If Allah had willed, He would have sent down angels. And we have not heard this from our forefathers. He is nothing but a man in whom is a madman, so keep watch over him for a while." (Surat al-Mu'minun, 24-25)

The people of Noah also denied before them, so they denied Our servant and said, "He is mad." He was oppressed and restrained. (Surat al-Qamar: 9)
